MUI Supper Club in North Bethesda, MD: Soft Opening Week and the Most Exciting First Weekend at Pike & Rose
MUI Supper Club's soft opening starts Wednesday, Nov 4, 5 to 10 pm, at 967 Rose Ave. in Pike & Rose, North Bethesda, MD. Friday and Saturday bring a live DJ and a fire dancer from 9 pm to midnight, booked in the MUI app.

MUI Supper Club, the Japanese supper club at 967 Rose Avenue in Pike & Rose, North Bethesda, MD, starts its soft opening week on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The dining room is open from 5 to 10 pm. The first weekend brings the most exciting nights of the week: a live DJ and a fire dancer on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, from 9 pm to midnight.
Dinner and the weekend show are booked in two different places. Regular dining is booked through Toast, MUI's reservation system, which also powers the Reserve a table button on MUI's Google listing. The Friday and Saturday DJ and fire dancer nights are a special event, and MUI reserves special events separately in the MUI app, which is free on iOS and Android. Parties of more than six need the staff's approval, and the club takes calls and texts at (301) 888-0883. MUI is closed on Tuesdays.
The weekend show runs from 9 pm to midnight on both nights, with a live DJ playing and a fire dancer performing in the room. Because it is a special event, spots are reserved in the MUI app rather than through the regular dinner booking, so reserve early if you want a table for the show.
The best dish to build a first dinner around is MUI's A5 Japanese wagyu, listed among the chef specials at market price. It can also be ordered as prime ribeye, and both come with sautéed rainbow carrots and three sauces on the side: black garlic miso, black garlic dashi and carrot purée. The Wagyu Carpaccio, raw wagyu with wasabi vinaigrette, olives, capers, parmigiano, harissa aioli and sourdough, is the easiest wagyu plate to share at the start of the meal.
The rest of the menu runs from the robata grill to the raw bar. Fish for the nigiri, sashimi and crudo includes a Toyosu Market list of bluefin akami, chutoro and otoro, kinmedai and Hokkaido uni. For a table that wants the most impressive plate in the room, the Aged Prime Tomahawk is 44 oz and $200, with charred seasonal vegetables and chimichurri, romesco and carrot purée on the side. The Whole Branzino ($40) and the Creamy Cedar Salmon ($28), grilled and charred with cedar wood, are the other big plates on the chef specials list.
For a meal chosen by the chef, MUI offers two omakase menus at market price: the Signature Omakase, the chef's signature progression served in the private omakase room, and the Seasonal Omakase, built around the season and the Toyosu market. Tell the team about allergies or a vegetarian or halal diet when you book, and the kitchen plans around it.
Pike & Rose has covered garage parking beneath and beside the building, and MUI says the first hours are free. The North Bethesda Metro station on the Red Line, formerly White Flint, is a short walk away. There is no dress code; MUI's own advice is to wear whatever you would wear to a good night out.
