MUI Supper Club, the Japanese supper club at 967 Rose Avenue in Pike & Rose, North Bethesda, MD, sells three yearly memberships: Prestige at $1,000 a year, VIP Club at $2,000 and Founders Club at $5,000. Each tier has a fixed number of spots: 100 for Prestige, 50 for VIP Club and only 20 for Founders Club, which makes it the most exclusive membership at MUI. MUI calls membership "not a loyalty card. A key."

Every tier shares a few things. Members' first cocktail on every visit is $1 from MUI's curated menu. On their birthday they get 10% off the whole table, plus a cake and a gift from the team. And all year they can message the MUI team directly in the MUI app, where the member card and perks are kept. Active paid members also get dining waitlist priority and preferred table assignment, subject to availability.

Prestige, at $1,000 a year, is the entry tier. Its members book 24 hours before the public, get early access to MUI before the public, are first in line to upgrade to VIP or Founders, and receive members-only updates.

VIP Club, at $2,000 a year, is the best value for a couple who dines often, in our view. It includes a bottle of premium champagne worth $500 and an omakase dinner for two. VIP members book every event 48 hours before the public, and they are invited to off-menu dish tastings and seasonal members-only evenings.

Founders Club, at $5,000 a year, is the most generous tier. The $1 first cocktail extends to one guest. It includes $1,000 of premium champagne, an omakase dinner for six and a private chef's table once a quarter. Founders can book any event at any time, including private events and before booking opens. They also get off-menu dish tastings, a dedicated concierge, a direct line to management and their name on the Founder Wall.

The terms are short and clear. Each tier's perks are its own, so higher tiers do not include the lower tiers' perks. Memberships renew every year unless they are cancelled at least 30 days before the renewal date. Fees are non-refundable, and memberships cannot be transferred.

Membership also opens MUI's members-only calendar: New Year's Eve on December 31, 2026, then one evening a month through 2027, from a sake pairing dinner in January to an anniversary dinner on November 6, 2027. Booking for each evening opens in the app 30 days before it, and members book first.

Joining starts with an enquiry. MUI asks how you dine and suggests the tier that suits you, confirms your spot and bills once a year. Write to info@muisupperclub.com or use the Enquire buttons on MUI's membership page. Guests who are not members yet can still message the team in the app once they reach Cultivator level, 5 merit points.
